My conversation with Mr R

I took a call from a gentleman the other day and we had a lengthy discussion about his sex life. The couple had been married for many years and Mrs R, his wife, had never had an orgasm during sex. Mr R was very keen to spice up the marriage and pleasure his wife in a way he felt he hadn't before. The ensuing effort had led to his purchase of sexy outfits (although she insisted in turning off the lights to emerge from the ensuite), a rabbit vibrator he had brought from us 4 months prior and a lubricant to use during sex. Mrs R hadn't enjoyed the rabbit vibrator although Mr R had loved using it on her, she felt the rotating shaft was unnatural and hadn't enjoyed the experience. Our conversation lasted for 1/2 an hour and at the end I really felt for Mr R, he loved and wanted his wife but felt he always seemed to miss the mark when it came to her sexual satisfaction.

He knew that she used sex toys alone as he found various women's toys in her drawer so why hadn't they succeeded in enjoying them together? It really only boils down to one thing; communication.
It seemed Mrs R had become accustomed to not having an orgasm with her husband and enjoyed a collection of vibrators when he left the house. It had become a habitual pattern of behaviour whereby they enjoyed the intimacy of sex but Mrs R only expected to experience the joy of orgasm during self pleasure. A sexy outfit is always top of the 'improve your sex life list' but in reality dressing up the outside isn't going to improve a sex life which needs working on from the inside. Opening up communication, letting go, trusting your partner, experimenting and demonstrating what it is that you find pleasurable are the list toppers.

'Spice up your sex life' its a women's mag cliche, but number one top of the list is not to light a few candles and rub in some massage oil but to TALK. I understand that this can be difficult, some people just aren't comfortable talking about their sexual preferences but little steps eventually take you a long way and sometimes grabbing a rabbit and donning suspenders just isn't going to break down a sexual routine built up over many years.

What did I suggest to Mr R? Well for practical advice, instead of a rabbit vibrator (he brought the thruster anyway!) I suggested a clitoral vibrator for his wife and gave him a few positions to adopt so that she could integrate her usual clitoral massage when they made love. We chose a cock ring to keep him harder to the longer sessions and a vibrating ring to use in the missionary position. I suggested he leave the sexy outfits until they were both comfortable with a new approach and that he ask her about the ways in which she pleasures herself with some direction on his technique.

A great sex life isn't just about the earth shattering orgasms but the intimacy and trust it can create which very quickly benefit all areas of your life. Enjoy!

Oh and good luck to Mr R, you have got to love the man for trying!

The Sausage Roll

If the thought of male masturbators makes you think of dismembered torsos and grotesque alien like latex creations, it may be time to take another look. Amongst the plethora of sex toys available the male section now houses some pretty attractive erotic accessories and masturbators can also make great couples sex toys, which can be incorporated into foreplay or used on your man as a masturbatory treat. Get him to put his feet up whilst you work a bit of masturbator magic, perhaps restraining him while you dominate proceedings or playing his favourite porn clip for sheer erotic indulgence.
A great technique for use with a male masturbator is the sausage roll. Take a soft penis sleeve masturbator of choice and apply plenty of sex lubricant. This is essential as the tug of the sex toy without a smooth slide can be painful on the sensitive skin of the penis particularly around the head.
Gently slip the penis inside, taking care to concentrate lube at the opening which is usually tight. Put your hands either side of the penis sleeve and roll it between your palms (which is why lots of lubricant is essential). Once you have built up a rolling rhythm introduce the masturbation move of an up and down stroke, this might feel tricky at first but the sensation will be amazing as the masturbator massages the penis and rolls around the sensitive areas of the foreskin.

iCome MP3 Vibrator

'If music be the food of love play on' how times have changed when music can now be the source of orgasmic pleasure. You suspect that Duke Orsino may have got his girl had he presented her with an iCome vibrator that pleases the lady with rhythmic waves of vibrating pleasure by buzzing to the beat.

The iCome vibrator plugs into either a MP3, PC or CD Player and delivers vibrations in synch with your music of choice. Whether you opt for Mozart or Metallica raising the volume or changing the tune will alter the vibration pattern.

Who's knows it may dictate a complete change in musical taste - thrash metal it is then!

Best Selling Couples Toy

The Boudoir's best selling couples sex toy is .....the humble cock ring. The vibrating cock ring has become the primary couples choice & we can see why. The cock ring maintains an erection for longer but more importantly for us girls the vibrating versions provide a fantastic buzz to the clitoris which gives us a much greater chance of orgasm during penetrative sex (the number of women who orgasm during penetrative sex alone is reported to be as low as 24%- with 14% who have never experienced an orgasm at all ).

The biggest rise in sales has been with the disposable cock ring which is largely due to couples initially experimenting with a cheaper product but also due to its increased use during casual sex. It is no longer considered 'bad sexual etiquette' to produce a sex toy during a casual encounter & a cock ring is a discreet effective way of ensuring female pleasure.

The Dinky banger & Ring of Venus are popular re-usable versions & many of our toy testers list cock rings as one of the regular sex toys they use as part of their sexual routine.

Missionary Position Tips

The missionary position need no longer conjure images of stoically laying back & thinking of England. We have some pointers for the classic of all sex positions to enhance your sexual pleasure.
G Spot stimulation is easily achieved by laying on your back. Simply pop a pillow underneath your buttocks to improve the angle of the penis & its locality to the big G.
Try introducing a sex toy to the missionary routine. A vibrating cock ring is the perfect sex aid to compliment your love making with its clitoral stimulation & erection maintaining properties.
Try anal sex in the missionary position. It may not be the most obvious sex position for anal penetration but it keeps a closeness between you & is surprisingly comfortable on entry.

Cupids Valentine Treats

The cute Cupids Club brand have launced three new couples based sex toys in time for Valentines day which we love.
The Cupid's Two Finger Tingler & Finger Tingler are two types of clitoral vibrator perfect for us ladies. Womens sex toys aside they are both ideal to use whilst making love without getting in the way or making too much noise. Theres nothing worse than working away together in passionate bliss to the sound of a small hammer drill as ambient background noise or attempting to angle that vibrator between your legs in a position your yoga teacher would be proud of! The Finger Tingler also stretches over your finger so no need to grasp hold of your sex toy in the midst of erotic bliss either. The Cupid's TurboTool Penis PowerPack makes up the toy trio which is a turbo powered cock ring sure to give enough vibration to your clitoral area without having to grind away too hard against each others pelvis. All three of Cupids sex toys are disposable so if you are planning a weekend away would slip easily into your luggage & last the duration. A Valentine treat for you both x

Big Tease Designer Toys

Big Tease Toys famous for their I Rub My Duckie range have launched a designer sex toy to the market in the shape of the Tuyo.

The B3 collection are Big Teases response to the idea that sex toys are becoming boutique items & societys growing acceptance of sex as a whole.

We are not a big fan of Big Tease's vibrating fish & ducks (I know we obviously lack that fun fun fun side) but the Tuyo is a very grown up attempt at creating a toy for couples that satisfies both partners. The sphere's vibrations are very intense & the silicone band around the middle directs the buzzing towards the edges of the toy rather than your hand.
The Tuyo has eight modes of vibration, three speeds & five different patterns of pulsation. The buzzing ball can be rolled over the contours of the body for relaxation or foreplay.

Tuyo is pure decadence & we would welcome it in our Boudoir any day.
